I am not sure which type of pumpkin it is – they came from our local veg grower in the next village. They have a very subtle, light grey-green colour, but I photographed them outdoors, under an overcast sky, and the colour turned almost silver (without the help of photoshop).
There is a pumpkin variety here in the US called Lumina that looks a little like yours. Lovely photo! Thanks for visiting my blog. Do you know of the blog The Intercontinental Gardener? The gal who writes it is a transplant here to Seattle but has lived and gardened in Sweden and Australia at least, maybe more places. She could probably share your feelings about having to start over somewhere new and learn all about slugs! :)
Finally, a Swedish garden grump seems to have found horticultural harmony in England (give or take a bucket load of slugs). This graphic designer would like to go from digital 2D to reality 3D and transform 120 square metre of uninspired garden into a lush oasis – when she doesn't muse about gardening as gardening goes, whinge about weeds, dream about perfection, drool over garden books, or is just generally busy photographing the plants, instead of watering them...
THE PHOTOGRAPHS IN THIS BLOG
are all taken by me. Please ask first, if you would like to use any of them.

Gorgeous photo, which one is it? The colour is Blue Hubbard but not the shape, is it 'photoshop' colour? I'm a little curious :-)
